VCI Shrink Wrap

Safepack VCI shrink film is transparent, heat shrinkable and heat sealable. It dual protect your material by barrier and anti corrosion protection. This film is generally referred as shrink wrap.

This product is designed to be an alternative to expensive multi-layer laminated flexible structures and eliminates the need for vacuum packaging and dehumidification.

There are two ways in which to wind shrink-wrap onto a core: Singlewound and Centerfold. Singlewound means that the shrink-wrap is wound onto a core in a single layer. Centerfold means that the shrink-wrap is folded in the center before it is wound onto a core in a double layer.

The shrink-wrap plastics fit more tightly around objects, reducing or eliminating wear and tear in windy conditions. The plastics can be welded together onsite through the use of the same handheld heat guns used to shrink the films, they can offer barriers to water, dust, vermin and other contaminates.

SAFEPACK VCI shrink wrap provides an extremely dry method of protection. It protects metals both through direct contact and vapour action. The high-tech VCI chemicals have a property of evaporating into the surrounding enclosure. The released vapour deposits on the metal surface and forms a protective mono-ionic layer which provides protection to the packed parts from corrosion. It thus enables effective and long term protection of ferrous and non-ferrous metals against corrosion /oxidation and tarnishing under adverse conditions including contaminants in air such as hydrogen sulphide, sulphur dioxide, ammonia or acid rain. VCI vapors easily migrate to hard to reach areas like drilled holes, crevices etc. and give effective protection.

 Recommanded temperatures for operations:

Typical Shrink temperature range: 340-440⁰ F.

Typical sealing temperature range: 240-320⁰F.

Environmental Aspects

Manufactured under strict ISO 9001-2008 norms, SP-VCI Shrink wrap is completely free from nitrite. It does not contain substances which are considered as dangerous to the health, neither in the production phase of the film, nor in the use of the end product (Certified for compliance with RoHS). It can be recycled both as material and as energy.
